Eggplane Series F-16 Fighting Falcon And Space Shuttle

Too cool! Hasegawa Hobby Kits just introduced me to its Eggplane Series that are so cool (and dare I say 'cute?)

Takashi Fujisawa provides the Anime/Manga inspired illustrations for the two models that take conventional aircraft and cuteify them-thus the Eggplane label.

The F-16 Fighting Falcon "Thunderbirds" model is a bulbous, squat version of the famous aircraft that includes a pilot, a clear canopy, landing gear and all the extras and details you would see on a full-scale, real version of the aircraft.

Paint, decal and glue application are required but with the short and concise instructions assembly is a snap!

Equally as cute is the Space Shuttle with its astronaut in full space suit regalia.  Once assembled the Space Shuttle has its hanger doors open, manipulative claw extended and the astronaut floating freely in space safely tethered to the Space Shuttle.  It too requires paint, decal and paint application.

Both models are sure to be big pleasers to younger modelers along with Anime and Manga fans.  Like all Hasegawa Hobby Kits the two models feature parts that detach cleanly from their part trees with little or no flashing, fit snuggly together and look great once assembled.
