Batman Year One And Young Justice

Batman.  The Dark Knight. The Caped Crusader.  Member of The Justice League Of America.  He’s smart, fast, a master of the night and dubbed the world’s greatest detective.  But was he always?

Everyone and everything has a beginning.  In the case of Batman he started out as Bruce Wayne hell-bent on fighting the criminal elements that were responsible for the death of his parents.

How did Bruce Wayne, the millionaire playboy and heir to the Wayne fortune become Batman?
In Warner Bros. Batman Year One animated movie, based on Frank Miller’s award-winning mini-series, viewers are witness to the transformation of Wayne into Batman.

Along the way you’ll experience his awkward and almost fatal first encounter with criminals and his refining of his skills, weapons and mode of operation.

Just as Bruce Wayne acclimates himself into his new persona, Jim Gordon is slowly and painfully acquainting himself with the corrupt Gotham City police force.

Both men encounter many bumps along the way and as the film progresses both come to appreciate each other’s  dedication to law enforcement.

This is where it all started for Batman, Jim Gordon and Catwoman.  Be there!

Included on the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy Combo is an additional Catwoman short, two bonus cartoon episodes, a conversation with the Batman creative team, Chapter One of the Batman Year One comic book series, a Heart Of Vengeance featurette and several DC animated movie previews.

They’re young, they’re tough and they’re crime-fighters.  But, don’t ever call them sidekicks!
Season One, Volume One of the animated Warner Bros. DC Comics Young Justice series is out and stars some of DC Comics youngest crime fighters.

In this first release from the series the Young Justice team is formed that includes Robin, Artemis, Aqualad, Miss Martian, Kid Flash and Superman’s clone-Superboy.

In their first adventure the team frees Superboy, after a one-sided fight, and join together to fight crime.  Look for plenty of action, quips, serious fight scenes and lots of character interplay.  Four episodes make up the set that are Independence Day, Fireworks, Welcome To happy Harbor and Drop Zone on DVD.
