Mysterious Island, The Awesomes and Anime 3-Series

When I was in grade school I used to take my lunch money and buy books at the Scholastic Bookstore just outside of the cafeteria.  Most novels with 10 cents which afforded me to buy one novel a day.  Mom was not happy.

One of my all-time favorite writers was Jules Verne.  I loved his stuff such as Journey To The Center Of The Earth, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea and especially Mysterious Island.

Back in the late 1960s Hollywood attempted to bring the story to the Silver Screen.

They succeeded partly but with a great deal of ‘liberties’ were taken with the story.

In the early 2000s actor Patrick Stewart (Professor X, Captain Picard) took on the iconic role of Captain Nemo in a band new production of Mysterious Island.

This adaptation was much truer to its source material and Mill Creek Entertainment proudly presents the movie in DVD.

Five people cast away on an island, pirates, science gone awry and Captain Nemo-what more could you ask for?

The Awesomes were the most famous and powerful group of superheroes of all-time.

That is until their leader, Mr. Awesome retired.  The entire team disbanded shortly thereafter.

It’s left up to Mr. Awesome’s son: Prock, to assemble a new team of superheroes.

Unfortunately no ‘A’ list superheroes want to join so he must be content with a new team consisting of misfits.

Superheroes will never be the same as the maladjusted malcontents take on the bad guys is some of the most hilarious, outrageous and ‘not for kids’ adventures ever seen on TV.  Oh, and did I mention, there’s a member who is secretly working for a bad guy?

The Awesomes The Complete Series includes all three seasons of the off-kilter superhero group on Blu-ray/Digital, which also includes promos and trailers.

It’s no secret that Anime is very popular.  How would you like to own not one, not two, but three Anime in one spectacular collection?

Well, now you can with the Anime3-Series Collection DVD!

Imagine being madly in love with a vampire.  So much so that you are about to become a vampire yourself.  But, betrayed by a servant you suddenly find yourself flung into the far, post apocalyptic future ravaged by the Red Army.

In Kurozuka, Kuro finds himself displaced from his 12th Century timeline and catapulted to the future where he must fight against the forces of evil while looking for his immortal lover.

Ultraviolet Code 044 is about super-soldier 044 who has been genetically enhanced and modified to be ultimate fighting machine.  Unfortunately it also shortens her life expectancy.

Assigned to take out an outlaw group she winds up being not only the outlaw’s enemy but her government’s as well.

In the future the environment is almost destroyed-cities are flooded and food, supplies and shelter are in short supply.  People are desperate.

Violence is rampant so the government hires a private security company to keep order.

Their elite fighting force: Viper, is tasked with keeping the peace.  It’s all-out action and over-the-top violence in this stunning Anime.
