Gunsmoke

I miss the old TV Westerns:  Bat Masterson, Wyatt Earp, Have Gun, Will Travel, Bonanza-the list goes on and on.

Some were more for kids, others for adults.

The granddaddy of all the ‘adult’ Westerns was Gunsmoke.

For 20 years Marshall Matt Dillon, saloon owner Miss Kitty, town physician Doc and deputies Festus and Chester and a plethora of other characters (both good and bad) thrilled TV audiences with their ‘authentic’ Western adventures.

Gunsmoke was grim and gritty and never candy-coated the tough way of life in the Old West.
CBS/Paramount presents Volume One and Two of The Fourteenth Season of Gunsmoke on two remastered DVD collections which also include episodic previews.

Seven discs make up the two collections.

Follow Matt and his friends as they defend Dodge City against the roughest, toughest and downright despicable bunch of criminals.

The series delved into the lives of those who choose to go West in a series of episodes laced with action, adventure, danger, feel-good moments and humor.

It’s humanity and its best and worse as seen through the lens of history.  It’s a classic!
