MT 100 Writing And Crafting Papers 2

One common denominator I’ve noticed with all things designed and created in Japan is the unswerving dedication to perfection.

Anime, Manga, magazines, books, household items and crafts-you name it; all of them are products of creative people who strive for quality and perfection-and it shows.

Iyamadesign and PIE International present a very unusual and unique collection of art that most people would not associate with the creative arts.

They would be wrong!

MT100 Writing and Crafting Papers 2 is a collection of exquisitely designed sheets of paper bound up in a small paperbound book.

What makes the collection so memorable is that every page is unique demonstrating the clever use of line, color, balance and design.

It is remarkable to me that Japanese artists and designers can take ordinary objects and push the boundaries of what they are.

This book is more than a showcase of paper designs.  It is the personification of what paper is.

The artists/designers that created the pieces looked past the obvious and discovered the core of what makes exquisite writing and crafting papers-a sort of a genesis or core of each.

It may seem unusual to flip through a series of paper designs.  But, after only a few pages I could not help but be impressed by the unexpected and delightful variety and design of each individual piece.
