Sucker Punch

From director Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) comes one of the most unusual and unsettling films of the past year. In Sucker Punch, a young girl is wrongly accused and convicted of a crime and sentenced to an asylum for the criminally insane.

As a way of coping with her imprisonment she fantasizes a world within a world within a world where she escapes her surroundings through her imagination, and what an imagination it is!

From walking dead German soldiers to giant samurai to futuristic warrior robots, she (with the aid of other inmates who accompany her on her imaginary quest) ultimately succeeds in her freedom, but not at all the way one would expect.

This movie is visual extravaganza using cutting edge computer generated special effects, impressive acrobatic fight sequences and a constantly shifting point of view that leaves viewers reeling from its visual bombardment of images.
