The Godfather

I am probably one of just a few movie goers that have not set through the three Godfather movies.

It's not that I have anything against them, it's just that mob movies don't appeal to me.

That's not to say I don't appreciate the movies and more power to the people who enjoy them-they just happen not to be to my taste.

However...  The new Godfather: The Official Motion Picture Archives book definitely interests me.

The book, published by Insight Editions and written by Peter Cowie, is much more than a book about a particular movie series-in my opinion.

Yes, it delves heavily into each film but it is more than a mere replay of the movies-it is a exhaustive study into the making of three classic films-warts and all.

I am fascinated on how movies are made and The Godfather Archives book provides plenty of insights.  Sure, there are lots of recollections, production notes, location scouting expeditions, actor and actress bios and more.

What interests me the most are all the little 'extras' the book provides.  Things like script notes, production communications, posters, press kits and much, MUCH more!

This is what making movies is about and The Godfather: The Official Motion Picture Archives book is the place to go to get the 'inside' look at the movie industry.

This deluxe hardbound book, with sleeved inserts, is sure to become a much sought after addition to any Godfather series or movie fan collection.
