Hank Pym’s mechanized offspring, Ultron, hates
humanity. He hates it so much in fact
that he does everything in his power to destroy it or rule it.
He got his wish.
In Age Of Ultron, the radical robot has successfully subjugated
humanity. Entire cities are destroyed
and the heroes of the Marvel Universe are wanted fugitives—dead or alive.
A few super villains and common thugs have struck a deal
with Ultron to bring in the heroes for certain ‘compensations’.
In issue #1 Hawkeye is on a mission to save Spider-Man-which
he does. After taking on various bad
guys and Ultrons (oh, did I forget to mention there are now thousands of
Ultrons?) Hawkeye manages to bring Spidey back to his old stomping ground, amidst
the protests of other superheroes.
After a quick scan to make sure neither Hawkeye nor Spidey
have been tracked or tagged by Ultron the remaining ragtag team of superheroes
turn to their leader for a plan-only Captain America has no plan. He is a beaten and defeated hero-or so it
seems. Issue #2 should prove if Cap
still has what it takes.
Brian Michael Bendis and Bryan Hitch present the Age Of
Ultron and it promises to be a ground-breaking and ground-shaking chapter in
the Marvel Universe.
