Adapted from the Superman/Brainiac storyline written by Geoff Johns and draw by Gary Frank from DC Comics, the new Superman Unbound WarnerBros. animated feature film showcasing Superman at his most powerful.

When an alien probe arrives on Earth Superman investigates only to be attacked by the probe as it converts into a powerful robot.  Disabling the robot just before it sends a homing signal, Superman takes the robot back to his Fortress of Solitude to analyze it.

Supergirl arrives and is immediately struck by fear.  When pressed as to why the robot terrifies her, Supergirl tells of Brainiac, an evil cybernetic entity that destroys worlds in its quest for knowledge.  The robot is one its probes.

Deciding to investigate, Superman departs to where Brainiac’s ship is.  Immediately Superman is attacked, captured and probed.  Superman escapes and disables Brainiac’s ship then returns to Earth to ready preparations to fight Brainiac when he arrives.

Soon Brainiac comes to Earth and unleashes his robotic probes.  Superman and Supergirl take the fight to Brainiac but are captured.  Do they escape?  Is Earth doomed?  What of Brainiac?  All f these questions are answered at the stunning finale of the spectacular new Superman Unbound animated film.

Featuring an all-star cast of voice actors, the animated film comes in a Blu-ray/DVD/Ultraviolet Combo Pack that also includes two featurettes about Brainiac and Kandor the bottled city, additional Superman: the Animated Series episodes, commentaries, a Digital Comic, a sneak peak at the next DC Comics animated adaptation and more.
