Star Trek and Adventure Time

The original Star Trek TV series only lasted on network TV from 1966 to 1969.  It was cancelled and the cast and crew moved on never dreaming about what was about to happen.

The TV series went into syndication and to the surprise of everyone involved it became a ratings hit.  Soon Star Trek fan clubs began to crop up and Star Trek conventions popped up all over the United States and the world.

The original Star Trek cast soon found lucrative work showing up at the conventions and to everyone's complete surprise Star Trek became a pop culture phenomenon.

Spotting a good thing in the making Topps Trading Card company produced a full color Star Trek trading card set (with stickers) that fans gobbled up.

The cards took images from the original series allowing Star Trek fans to relive their favorite moments.

Abrams ComicArts has just released a small hardbound book that recreates each and every card in glorious full color (including the back of each card) and the stickers-all 22.

Included with each card is an informative text piece about the particular scene shot or episode.  Trust me-there are a few eye-openers!

As a special treat an exclusive set of Bonus Cards has been created just for the book.  This is a 'must-have' book for any Star Trek fan.   I've got mine, when are you going to get yours?
The Cartoon Network's Adventure Time animated series is a huge hit with kids (and some savvy adults).

Situated in the Land of Ooo the series follows the wild adventures of some of its citizens in some of the strangest locations and situations imaginable.

The chief bad guy, Hunson Abadeer: Lord of Evil, has compiled a complete Adventure Time Encyclopaedia of the Land of Ooo and its residents, creatures and the like.

Martin Olson provides the translation.  The book is jammed packed with full color illustrations created specifically for the book along with screen shots taken from the series.

Full descriptions of people, places and things pack out the pages along with some sage advice on marriage, how to make friends and other marginal advice provided by Finn, Jake and Marceline.

Pendleton Ward provides original content for the book.
