If you’ve not had the opportunity to purchase any of RunningPress’s Mega Mini Kits I highly recommend that you do so.
For the money you get some pretty cool little trinkets and
figures based on TV series, movies and other popular culture phenomenon.
Each kit with a finely crafted miniature boasting excellent
detailing, superb paint and color application and with a booklet or sticker
collection dedicated to its contents with images and text.
I have a number of the Mega Mini Kits and I display them at
home and at work.
This time around I’d like to look at seven Mega Mini Kits
that I find particularly interesting.
First up is Batman’s 1985 Batmobile as seen in DC Comics. Reminiscent
of the 1966 Batman TV Batmobile the 1985 Batmobile is wider, sleeker and more
streamline.
The miniature features an open passenger compartment for
two, fins, a full Bat insignia on its hood and sides and on its wheels. The
miniature is mounted on a circular Bat symbol base allowing the Batmobile to be
seen both top and bottom. A history of
the Batmobile over the past decades booklet is also included.
Batman’s longtime crime-fighting associate Superman is the
spotlight of the Superman Collectible Figurine Mega Mini Kit.
Besides a striking miniature Superman figure (fully
detailed) a special metal Superman chest symbol Pendant is also included along
with a' The Man OF Steel ' retrospective booklet-super!
The original Star Trek TV series Phaser is the next Mega
Mini Kit. Perfect in every detail, the Phaser
is colored in blue, silver, black and gold and features a light up emitter at the
touch of its firing button. A booklet
about the genesis and evolution of the Phaser is included along with information
of its capabilities and types of Phasers.
The object of Harry Potter’s favorite game: the Golden
Snitch, is perfectly duplicated in the next Mega Mini Kit.
The Golden Snitch ball comes with silver wings and small
wooden base on which to set it. A Harry
Potter Sticker Book is also included.
Superman’s lethal weakness: Kryptonite, comes encased in a plastic
dome and mounted on a gold circular base.
Flip a small switch and the Kryptonite crystals glow a deadly green. A booklet
about Kryptonite and Superman’s most dangerous foes comes with the Kryptonite
dome.
Downton Abbey is a huge hit both in Europe and the United States. Stories of the Abbey’s turbulent family and
staff activities have sparked the imaginations of millions of viewers. The Abbey itself has become a major player in
the British TV series and Running Press has recreated in perfect miniature.
Push its central tower and the Abbey’s lights come on and

One of the favorite items of fans from the Harry Potter books
and movies is the elusive Horcrux Locket.
The locket comes on a small chain and can be opened. Pay
particular attention to the two-sided dark gem of the locket. Strange archaic images show up when the locket
is moved. Spooky! A photographic image
booklet of Harry and his friends hunting down Lord Voldemort is included.
All of the Mega Mini Kits have their contents protected by
bubble packing sleeves and the boxes are secured by small seals.
