Death of Wolverine #1

Wolverine is dying. It seems that all the radiation he’s encountered over the decades has accumulated in his Adamantium skeleton and developed into cancer.  Add to that all the diseases he’s introduced in his body from using his claws, gunshots, stabbings, etc. and Wolverine’s immune system has gone kaput!

His healing factor no longer works, although he still retains his strength and speed.

Good thing too because Viper has a contract on him and every two-bit hood, criminal organization and assassin has come gunning for him.

The latest is Nuke who at first has the advantage over Wolverine.  But that’s before Wolverine decides to “head-up” an assault and “butt in”.

It looks to be all out war as Wolverine prepares for the battle of his life…or death.

Charles Soule provides the dialogue and super-star penciller Steve McNiven the art in what promises to be a spectacular mini-series about Marvel’s favorite mutant son: Wolverine.

Included in the book are sketches and a commentary by McNiven and a special interview with Wolverine’s creator Len Wein from Marvel Comics.
