All-New Captain America #1

After escaping from Dimension Z Captain America (Steve Rogers) was forced to leave behind his longtime love Sharon Carter and his young son Ian.

After his return he fought the Iron Nail who succeeded in draining the super soldier serum from Steve’s blood causing him to aged rapidly and loose his super strength and abilities.
Unable to wield his shield he passed it on to his trusted friend Sam Wilson (the Falcon) to take over the mantle of Captain America.

Eventually Steve was reunited with Sharon Carter (Who had also aged) and his son, now christened Nomad.

Sam and Nomad (under Steve’s tutelage) are in the process of infiltrating and attempting to stop another world domination scheme by Hydra.

Writer Rick Remender and artist Stuart Immonen wow readers with a brand new chapter in the Captain America saga.  Immonen provides some of the best art of his career.  Check out his two-page spread of the Falcon in flight and the last panel of the book-it’s classic.

The dynamic interplay between the characters is perfect.  Sam Wilson proves himself to be a worthy recipient of the Captain America mantle and Cap’s son is as daring (and unpredictable) as his father.

If the All-New Captain America #1 from Marvel Comics is any indication of the excitement level of the series look for it to become a fan favorite.
