Zarafa

Imagine yourself a small African boy (Maki) who has been captured and enslaved.

Miraculously one night you manage to loosen your bonds and escape.

As you run across the savannah you can hear the slavers chasing you.  You are alone, frightened and don't know what to do.

Incredibly you meet an orphan just like yourself-a small baby giraffe (Zarafa) and a nomad by the name of Hassan, Prince of the Desert.

The three new companions travil to Egypt to the Pasha in the city of Alexandria.

The Pasha orders Hassan to deliver the baby giraffe to King Charles of France.

Hassan, Zarafa and Maki begin their long journey in a hot-air balloon to cross the Mediterranean.

Along the way they travel to North Africa, Marseilles, and the Alps to at last arrive in Paris.
But, Maki, knowing what it is like to be enslaved, has his own plans for Zarafa-to free the baby giraffe and return Zarafa home.

Zarafa is a delightful movie, filled with adventure and touching emotional and inspirational moments.

Families will love it, on Blu-ray from Cinedigm.

Extras include a 'making of' featurette, several documentaries, a trailer and sneak peeks of other animated features from Cinedigm.
