The Daemons Of Devil’s End

I’ve always found stories about witches lacking, the witches one-dimensional and the supernatural trappings predictable.

That is, until I read the short story compilation ‘The Daemons Of Devil’s End’ published by Telos Publishing.

The book centers on Olive Hawthorne, the witch introduced in the classic Doctor who TV episode ‘The Daemons’.

Olive Hawthorne is anything but a typical witch.  She’s clever, compassionate, inquisitive, does not boast of her abilities and above all is a protector.

In the book various authors offer stories of Olive’s past, her loves and losses, her familiar, pivotal and life-changing encounters with the supernatural-both good and bad and her steadfast determination to protect her little village: Devil’s End, from the dark forces.

I enjoyed reading each and every tale and I plan on watching the classic Doctor Who episode she premiered in along with her Reeltime Pictures drama production: White Witches Of Devil’s End.
