Toys-Banks, Tinplate Toys and Baby Boomer Toys and Collectibles

I’m a Baby Boomer.  I was born in 1953 and I am what is considered a child of the war years when Americans came home from the war and proceeded to start families.

In Baby Boomers Toys and Collectible Second Edition, by Carol Turpen and published by Schiffer Publishing, the toys and collectibles I remember as a kid are spotlighted.

Model kits, battery toys, spaceships, ray guns, robots, TV tie-ins, games, wind-ups and so much more fill the color photo packed pages along with information and an updated price guide.

Tinplate Toys From Schuco, Bing, And Other Companies, by Jurgen Franzke and published by Schiffer, has been reprinted as a brand new second edition.

Most of the toys were produced in Nuremberg Germany and cover a large selection of toy types from friction toys to diecast.

This book offers a unique look at a toy source often overlooked.

Full color photos along with prices, toy specs and historical information provide the reader with a comprehensive look at tinplate toys produced in Europe.

The Collectors Encyclopedia Toy-Banks Cast Iron, Tin Wind-up, Autos & More With Prices is unlike most collectibles books.

Instead of modern photographs the book is illustrated with period photos and art just as the toys and bank were originally advertised.

Taking images from various catalogs and periodicals the book is a bound time capsule with the original descriptive text and prices listed.

Psalm 118:24 (NIV) “The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.”
