"In Space No One Can Hear You Scream!" Aliens Action Fleet Narcissus

When the Aliens movie hit movie theater moviegoers weren’t sure what to expect.

Would the film be a rehash of the original Alien movie-a horror film in outer space?

What moviegoers got was a kick-butt action movie courtesy of director James Cameron.

Besides the break-neck speed action and spectacular special effects one of the biggest stars of the movie was the Narcissus: a modified Lockmart Starcub light shuttle lifeboats from the Weyland-Yutani commercial hauler USCSS Nostrodomo.

Ellen Ripley used it to escape in the original Alien movie. She woke up almost 70 years later after a salvage ship discovered her in suspended animation.

Recently Micro-Machines has made a comeback from its long absence from toy shelves.  While products are limited there was a time when Micro-Machines seemingly ruled the toy aisles.

Vehicles of al sorts, aircraft, miniature figures, playsets, movie and TV ties-in-the sky was the limit.

The Aliens Action Fleet Narcissus comes in a box measuring approximately 8” X 6” X 6” X 6” give or take a few inches.

The top and front, along with small side slits, consists of clear plastic for easy viewing of the ship within.

Included with ship is a custom black Aliens base.

The ship sits on a slanted elevated platform and is held in place by plastic strips, as is the base.

Two small, articulated figures come with the ship: Ellen Ripley and an Alien.  Both are painted and scaled to the ship.

The ship exterior has six front windows, twin engines, workable landing gears and a removable front section that allows access to the interior.

Inside are level activated secret panels (one of which the Alien can hide in, a clear plastic Life Support Module with Sleep Chamber, twin gray seats and computer and equipment panels.

Both the interior and exterior are highly detailed, nicely engineered and functional.

While paint application is minimal the parts that are painted are clean, crisp and movie accurate.

With all of its nooks and crannies, hidden panels and playability the Narcissus spaceship, base and figures are loaded for play and ready to be displayed.

Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV) “‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
