Prophecy Girl Buffy

Buffy The Vampire Slayer took on may roles over the course of her TV show: a prophet being one of them.

The Prophecy Girl Buffy 12-inch, fully-articulated figure comes in a Sideshow Collectibles' flip-lid box with information about the TV show on the inside of the flap.

The cover of the box is a photo of the figure inside.

Inside the 12-inch figure is snug (along with its accessories) inside a form-fitted, clear-plastic cocoon and plastic straps seen through a clear plastic viewing panel.

Is Buffy the prophet or has the prophecy come true?

The figure accessories include a Vampyr leather-bound book, a wooden stake and a strung crossbow with three silver head arrows and a circular Buffy base and support stand.

The details on the book and crossbow are impressive.

The book has large hinges, thick pages and the leather looks worn and heavily tooled.

The crossbow looks like real wood with a heavy stock metal fittings and realistic looking arrows with metal quills.

This Sideshow Collectibles Buffy figure has realistic hair-not molded, but with individual stands.  She wears a long, white gown with no sleeves with a slightly off-white-gray band just below her ribs.

The gown goes almost to the floor and she wears high-heel, single-strap shoes.

Stitching, pleats, folds and creases look completely real and do not bunch or bundle when the figure is posed.

The fully-articulated figure has preset hands than can hold the book, crossbow and wooden stake with no slippage or off kilter funkiness.

Buffy also wears a silver chain with a crucifix.

The figure’s facial figures looks just like Buffy with her small nose, full lips, large blue eyes and slightly round face.

Coloration looks natural with slight flesh-tone variations around the eyes and mouth areas.

It’s an impressive figure set with real cloths, clever and finely crafted accessories and a beautiful sculpted figure.

Even in a secular TV show such as Buffy writers were sure to include a Christian cross.

Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
