Flowers In The Attic

When I was younger (I was a teenager believe it or not), one of the scariest books I read up until that time was V.C. Andrews' Flowers In The Attic.

What made the book so frightening wasn't blood and gore but the psychological manipulation and emotional hammering the author wrote.

The story centers around a group of four siblings.  After the death of their father and the abandonment by their mother the four children go to live in their grandparent's home.

While there they are subjected to emotional and physical cruelty and forced to live in the attic.

As the older children grown and mature things go from bad to worse and dark hidden family secrets begin to merge from the shadows.

Lionsgate presents the entire Lifetime Original Movie on DVD that also includes Behind The Scenes with the cast and crew.

For a chiller of a thriller that just comes short of a killer be sure to watch Flowers In The Attic-it will grow on you.
