Cry Macho

Actor/director Clint Eastwood reminds me of the Energizer Bunny.  He never runs out of energy and keeps on going.

Eastwood is in his 90s and maintains a strong presence in Hollywood.  He still acts in and directs movies-many of which have become classics.

In Warner Bros. Cry Macho Clint plays a one-time rodeo star and horse breeder who is asked by a former employer to retrieve his son from his alcoholic mother living in Mexico.

Eastwood agrees and retrieves the young boy but with serious consequences and trouble.

On their journey back to the U.S.A. Eastwood and the boy develop a special bond.  He becomes a sort of surrogate father/grandfather to the boy.

Reluctantly at first the boy eventually warms up to him and listens to his guidance.  

Rough around the edges, crusty and often cantankerous Eastwood eventually warms up to the boy and he begins to teach him about what it means to be a man.

As with all of his movies whether he is starring in or directing, or both, Eastwood underplays much of the scenes and delivers big when it comes to the final consequences or resolutions.
