RWBY Volume 8

I have no idea who or what RWBY is.  I received a Blu-ray copy of RWBY Volume 8 from Rooster Teeth Productions, LLC/Warner Bros. and I’m at a loss for words on how to review it.

I watched a few episodes and was impressed by the graphics and computer animation.  The soundtrack kicks and the characters are distinct from one another, brought about by designs, movements and attitudes

It’s a beautifully executed Anime but having not watched the series from the beginning I had a hard time wrapping my mind around the series.

From what I gather its centers around the struggle to save humanity.  A group of individuals with specific skills fight the good fight but as friends turn into enemies the true enemy seems to have the upper hand.

Here's a short description I pulled form the internet:

"RWBY imagines a world filled with horrific monsters bent on death and destruction, and humanity’s only hope lies with powerful Huntsmen and Huntresses. Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long are four such Huntresses-in-training, and their journey takes them far beyond the gates of Beacon Academy as they confront dark forces and work as a team to become the next generation of Remnant’s protectors.

In RWBY volume eight, our heroes’ worst fears have finally been realized: Salem is here, and the timing couldn’t be worse for the divided Kingdom of Atlas. Fear has turned the friends into enemies, and doubt threatens to splinter Humanity’s remaining allies. With both Salem and Ironwood stacking the odds against them, and the fate of Remnant at stake, it’s up to Team RWBY to make their play before it’s too late."

Special features delve more into the series and a set of RWBY Justice League Art Cards is also included.

Anime lovers are sure to enjoy the series.  As for me I need to go back and binge watch the earlier episodes so I can familiarize myself with the storyline.

As for now, I can recommend the Blu-ray simply on face value.  It’s nicely animated, moves along quickly and contains its fair share of surprises.
