Over two decades ago geneticists developed a technique to
extinguish incurable diseases through genetic manipulation.
Deemed too dangerous by government forces the ‘cure’ is
quarantined--or so it seems.
Nearly 25 years later primatologist Davis Okoye (Dwayne
Johnson) who shuns most people, is content to strengthen his bond with George-a
rare albino gorilla.
The two are inseparable friends-in no small part due to George’s
above average intelligence.
When George gets exposed to a genetic experiment that
goes horribly wrong the gentle ape begins to grow into a giant, savage and
unstoppable engine of destruction.
George is not the only animal affected. A wolf and alligator also mutate into
monstrous killing machines.
They tear their destructive path across America,
threatening to start a global catastrophe if they are not stopped, along with
spreading genetic chaos.
Okoye teams up with a discredited geneticist in a
desperate attempt to cure George, stop the mutated animals’ rampage and saves
lives and property.
The action never lets up, the destruction escalates and
the visual effects deliver on all levels.
