Farmhouse Kitchen

My Aunt Ester’s farm in Kentucky was every young man’s dream. Lots of open fields, cows, chickens, pigs, a rocky stream, an old bridge, barns, a garden, a root cellar and best of all the country cooking!

Aunt Ester’s kitchen was set at the back of the house and opened up to the back yard via a screen door. Everyday Aunt Esther would cook up a humongous country breakfast.

Once everyone was finished she would cover the food with cheesecloth and when lunch rolled around we all would dig in once again.

Pies, cookies, cakes, gravy, juice, milk, fried eggs, biscuits, sausage, bacon, fruit preserves, buttermilk, hash browns, hot coffee, grits-you name it, she served it! Yum!

Looking at Rolife’s Super Creator Farmhouse Kitchen reminds me so much of my Aunt’s kitchen.

It’s all there: the two-layer prep table, a corner counter with drawers and checkered curtain, the wall cupboard with three drawers and a plate display shelf, the old wooden stove with multiple burners set against a tile backed wooden shelf with a cookie jar and hanging copper implements and a pot, the aqua bread box, a curtained window,-everything, even the diamond shaped wooden parquet floor is there!

Just look at the scrumptious desserts, the food basket, a wooden crate, the framed art, the flowers in a watering can, the stone cutting top, a lace doily, a counter basket, old-time foodstuffs, drawers with kitchen accessories, a wood burning stove, flower wallpaper, white trim and slated chair railing.

I’d like to take a minute to talk about something I find amazing.

When I examine the quality of the various components of any of Rolife’s kits I can’t help but be impressed by the amount of time, effort, talent, skill, craft and manufacturing it took to put each kit together.

From printing and designing the packaging, 3D printed parts, manufacturing the various wall and part flats, lighting components, stickers, etc. it impresses me with the sheer effort it takes to put together each kit.

Color registration, materials chosen, laser cutting parts-all of it demonstrates just how professionally assembled and designed each kit is.

The Rolife’s Super Creator Farmhouse Kitchen kit's box is a simple slip lid container with a full-color photo of the Farmhouse Kitchen on its front along with small photos of various sections on its sides.

On the back is a list of full specs: 126 pieces, recommended age-14, materials-ABS, PVC, Paper and instructions for lighting and assembly, contact information and how to expand the kit to protect from dust and connect to other kits.

Inside the box are an instruction sheet (follow the numbers matching the parts), a Material List, eight part bags and sealed bags containing stickers, paper fold-outs and wall and floor slats.

Be sure to check and make sure all the parts are included, review the lighting instructions and never remove more parts than you need when assembling through each stage.

Just look at all the contents-so accurate and detailed! I especially like the color palette, sculpt work and design and text applications.

Tools I suggest having on hand are tweezers (included), a magnifying device, a small Flathead screwdriver for poking out tabbed parts, an X-actor knife, a small pointed tool and glue.

Remember to take your time, follow the instructions, take a moment to look over the details and enjoy the experience.

Cozy Living Lounge

Although our house does not have a lounge our living room substitutes for one just fine.

There’s nothing better than to kick back, to put your feet up, grab a book or magazine, munch on a snack, drink some coffee and look out the window as the world passes by.

Imagine yourself kicking back in Rolife’s Super Creator Cozy Living Lounge.

Picture yourself sitting on the orange/brown couch with its four cushions, looking at your laptop on the retro two-level wooden coffee table and adjusting the sleek overhead lamp. The wide-slat wooden floor matches perfectly with the furnishing.

The muted stripped walls give a feeling of comfort. Look at the various framed art and photos on the walls and the four-shelf bookcase packed with books and a cardboard box.

More books are on the coffee table that sits on a six circle black and white rug setting right next to a shopping bag and short squat yellow and a orange foot stool.

Listen to music coming from you record player on its stand complete with a coffee machine accompanied by cups, a water jug, a small plastic basket all placed against a shuttered twelve pane window looking out over the neighborhood.

Relax, take in the quiet, read your favorite book, sip some coffee, listen to your favorite music and watch the neighborhood outside as the day turns into night.

Where does this idealistic Living Lounge exist? It started out in the imaginations of the designers and artists at Robotime.

They, along with a talented crew of engineers, machinists, fabricators, 3D artists, graphic designers and printers, created Rolife’s Super Creator Cozy Living Lounge DIY Kit.

Designed for ages eight and up, comprising of 114 pieces, LED lights included and made of ABS, PVC and Paper, the kit comes in a simple lidded box decorated with color photos of the lounge on all sides. Additional product information is on the back of the box.

Inside kit makers will find several, clear plastic bags containing various paper, plastic objects (3D printed), floor and wall flats, stickers, a screwdriver, lighting fixtures, an Instructions pamphlet and a huge cache of little goodies that duplicate the look of various Lounge fixtures, objects and furniture.

Additional tools that you may need include and X-Acto knife, a small Flathead screwdriver for popping out parts, a magnifying glass, glue, a pointed tool and patience.

Like all good things the Cozy Living Lounge takes time to assemble and believe me it is worth it!

Before you start look over the Instructions carefully, check for missing parts, review the electrical set-up and then take out only the numbered parts as you need them and carefully assemble them.

You will be amazed by the details, colors, scaled accuracy and the final product.

To display your Lounge you can also purchase some dust protection clear, plastic sheets and if you have other Super Creator kits you can join them together to make a full house!

Rolife DIY Music Box- Sakura Dreamy Tour

My mom used to have an old music box that was also a jewelry box. Every time she opened the lid a little ballerina would pop out and begin to twirl accompanied by music. I thought it was cool.

With today’s modern technology and electronics music boxes have evolved into some truly astounding mechanical and musical marvels.

Rolife’s DIY Music Box Sakura Dreamy Tour is more than just a music box. First off it looks like a small portable radio with knobs and rabbit ear antenna.

The entire assembly comes in a heavy-gauge cardboard box with a flip-lid with tabs. A slip-on sleeve covers most of the box. The sleeve has a full-color photo of the Music Box Sakura Dreamy Tour on its front with an age appropriate symbol (14+), numbers of parts (283), a lighting symbol, no glue necessary (although I always keep some on hand) and a DIY symbol.

On the back of the sleeve are more specs, photos, material used (MDF board, Paper) and an electronic diagram for the lights, music and train mechanism.

Inside the box are a sizable selection of slats, sandpaper, stickers, colorful paper pop-outs, two bags of electronic components, a flathead screwdriver, a bag for the antenna, base and framework, a reset plastic sleeve with alcove holding the motor, music box and more framework parts, a Product Safety Instruction booklet, an Icon Illustration guide and instruction manual.

The Music Box Sakura Dreamy Tour screen is actual a 3D depiction of a street car, on rails, traversing a circular cherry tree lined lane. Turn on the mechanism using the switch on the front, turn up the pleasant music and the little street can traverses the train in a circle passing by the cherry trees in the center. It’s very pastoral with the various trees and landscape all around it backed up by a blue sky in the background. Very clever.

The 3D kit when assembled looks like a small pink (with legs) radio with an on and off button and volume control. It also has antenna made of metal mounted on a beige circular base.  A small open viewing area can be seen from the top.

The front of the radio, framed in green, is a scene of a small cable car surrounded by cherry blossom trees, The trolley is green and yellow with an overhead storage rack, doors and two sets of blue trimmed, eight-pane windows, twin front windows, and handrails. The trolley sets on train tracks.

The track curves to the right past a three-level platform where a cherry blossom tree, roped off areas and a yellow and black warning stand.

In front of trolley to its left is a signal light shining red, fenced off flowers and two more trees. In the background there is blue sky, rolling hills and more trees.

It’s a remarkably realistic looking scene that tricks the eyes to see distances on almost a flat surface.

Parts pop out of the various slats, edges are clean and crisp, colors pop and assembly is easy if you follow the numbered parts instructions, use only the parts as you need them in the assembly process and are be careful not to lose any small parts.

I suggest having tweezers, and X-Acto blade and handle, a small flathead screwdriver, some sort of magnifying device, liquid glue and a pointed tool for small parts. Take your time, review the kit contents and enjoy the process.

The Music Box Sakura Dreamy Tour is a little more complicated than most Rolife kits so carefully follow the instructions especially when it comes to the music, motor and lighting specifications.

Full photos of the Sakura Music Box along with a video can be seen by clicking here. Other products by Rolife can be seen here and other products by Robotime can be viewed by clicking here.

Prepare yourself for delightful trip accompanied by music in a charming recreation of a trolley car journey among the cherry trees.

Sakura Tree House

Way, way, way back when I was a kid growing up in Michigan one of the most exciting and fun things we did as kids was pick out a big tree that we could easily climb and build a tree house out of wood scraps and anything else we could find.

The tree house was our fort, sanctuary and the place we could be just be...kids.

A lot has changed. No longer are tree houses cobbled together pieces of wood and scraps by a bunch of ragtag group of neighborhood kids.

Makeshift kid clubhouses and hideaways have given way to prefabricated tree house kits ranging from simple kid forts to luxurious full-size homes spanning not just on one tree but many and complete with plumbing, electricity and all the other amenities of modern day life.

Don’t let the thin box the Rolife's Sakura Tree House kit comes in fool you. It’s full-fledged kit that takes patience, time and skill to put together.

The kit comes in a flip-lid box with tabs with a half slip sleeve with full color photos on the back and front.

Designed for kit builders 14 years and up the kit contains 535 pieces and requires no glue. I still like to have liquid glue and a brush handy since I’m such a klutz and may break a piece. Materials used are plywood, MDF board and paper.

Inside the box are seven part flats, two sheets of pop-out paper parts and a small sheet of high grit sand paper. Also included is a pack of dot stickers, a pack of small fasteners, an Icon Illustration sheet, Product Safety Instructions and an instruction pamphlet.

Before you begin to build your kit check to see that all the parts are enclosed, briefly look over the instructions, gather your tools (tweezers, a point tool, a magnifying device, a small Flathead screwdriver, liquid glue, an X-Acto knife and blade and any other tools you may need to handle small pop-out tabbed parts.

It’s a beautiful kit with bright colors, incredible details, parts that assemble snugly and securely, no gaps or rough edges and looks amazing when finished.

Rolife’s 3D Wooden Puzzle Sakura Tree House kit showcases a magnificent dwelling perched on the branches of an ancient and massive cherry tree.

Complete with a winding staircase and rails, balconies, several rooms and levels and even a small supply elevator the Sakura Tree House is a marvel of modern day design, fertile imagination and complete integration with nature.

Awnings, windows, doors, walls, roofs and more are all constructed from wood.

I especially love the trunk of the tree where the separate wooden pieces are convoluted and fit together giving the tree a very organic look.

I also am taken back on how the tree limbs, tree house and its various parts intermingle with the many cherry tree blossoms and leaves.

Starting at the multi-layer foundation platform the tree (and its roots) rise up and larger lower limbs hold the tree house.

A flight of wooden stairs curves up and around the tree to the left side.

At the base of the tree hanging from the balcony, that has an ornate banister of wood, is a circular swing with a wood slat seat. The rope it hangs from is made by a vine with leaves.

On the left side of the trunk is a four-pane window with casing and a five slat bench of wood.

The large first story of the tree house has a wooden door to the right, a large open, pane on hinges window, a small six-pane window, a small room extension to the right with three open windows, a balcony with railing and a winch with a handle holding up a wooden basket used for hoisting up supplies.

A small room is to the left, the main building has a lower roof with a gabled window attached to the second story with a small railing and a wood shingle roof.

As with all of Rolife’s kits the Tree House takes time, patience and skill to construct.

Part are numbered coinciding with the numbers listed in the instruction manual.

Take you time. Imagine yourself leaning over the upper balcony railing and breathing in the cherry blossoms and enjoying the scenery around you.

Read the instructions carefully, make sure all the components are there, remove only the pieces you need to build a section or accessory and be careful with small delicate pieces.

Elsa's Tailoring

The was a time when people took their cloths to a tailor to have them repaired or have new cloths made. You don’t see that much anymore.

Sure, tailor shops still exist but most tend to be high-end and high-cost establishments. I remember when tailor shops were a common sight.

I used to go with my mom when I was young to a neighborhood tailor shop. Entering the shop a small bell would sound notifying the owner that someone had arrived.

The store smelled like fabric, clothing dust filled the air and everywhere I looked there were racks of cloth, rollers of fabric, sewing spools of thread, needles and other cloths making paraphernalia. The light was low and dark and shadowy corners melded into the dark. It was kind of spooky and yet comforting.

The shop owner would listen to our needs-either for new clothing or repairs to much loved and worn clothing and would quote mom a price, when the cloths would be done and issue a cloths’ claim ticket.

In a day or two we would go back and pick up our cloths. That was part of life in a small home town.

Rolife presents Elsa’s Tailoring all packaged up in a flip-lid box and partially wrapped with a slip-on sleeve. A full-color photo of Elsa’s Tailoring Shop decorates the front of the slip cover along with a couple of close-up photos. Also listed are the recommended age level to complete the kit (14+), the number of pieces (266), a DIY symbol and a LED light symbol (battery pack included).

On the back of the slip cover are other stats including material used (plywood, paper, plastic), battery instructions and assembly recommendations.

Ten part slats, three part bags (shop miniatures, furniture parts, electrical components and tweezers and a Phillips head screwdriver), an instruction booklet (parts are numbered coinciding with slats, bags and other components) Icon Illustration, stickers, paper assembly sheet, safety instructions, and material list.

Take a moment to look over the bags' components that include various 3D printed objects such as a sewing machine, a dress mannequin, beads, material and more-all of which are perfect miniatures of real objects.

The Elsa’s Tailoring Shop is open on three sides and looks just as cluttered as the tailor shop my mom and I often visited.

The back wall slightly curves and wraps around the contents of the shop. It is decorated in floral wallpaper, a large purple accented Elsa’s Tailoring sign, a full-length gold-trim mirror, oval framed photos of a woman's face, a curved/pointed door with a debossed Art Nouveau decor and a small wooden document holder all sitting on a wooden parquet floor with an Eternal Grace sign on its front.

The shop is lit by a decorative wall sconce of gold and molded/frosted glass shade.

Against the back wall is a large multi-alcove and drawer cabinet filled with fabrics, ribbon, a fancy hat with flowers and bric-a-brac.

To its right is a lace on spools display, an upright open top cabinet with ribbons, buttons and tape measures.

On its right is a sewing table with an antique red sewing machine, a flower in a clear vase, fabric, scissors, more ribbon and contents, and a small white chair with a pink stripped seat sitting in front of the sewing table’s iron works legs and support. On the floor is a beige and white basket with folded and rolled fabric.

In the font of the shop is a mannequin dressed in a white dress with a floral design, lace and a large pink bow. A table display sits to its right with a glass enclosed front and twin drawers on its lower front.

The display contains gift boxes and its top are a bouquet in a vase, crystal, a necklace display, broaches and a small brown wooden display box of ribbon spools.

Assembling Elsa’s Tailoring kit is very much like sewing together a fine piece of clothing. Each component is carefully selected. Each part has a specific purpose and function. Separate parts combine to make the completed kit.

Words are inadequate to describe how fancy, realistic, colorful and charming Elsa’s Tailoring Shop is.

Like tailoring it takes time, requires patience, methodical planning, sequential assembly, the proper tools, precise instructions and careful assembly to complete the kit.

As always I recommend you take your time, read over the instructions completely (especially the electrical set-up), check to make sure all the parts are there, use a small flathead screwdriver to pop out the tabbed pieces, tweezers are a must along with a sharp pointed tool, an X-Acto blade and handle, liquid glue with a brush, a magnifier, good lighting and patience.

Picture yourself looking through the fabrics, taking in the warm charm of Elsa’s Tailoring Shop and enjoying the building process.

Sakura Wine Alley

I’m not a wine drinker but I have visited NAPA Valley in California where dozens of wineries, wine cellars and small wine tasting facilities abound.

Wine is a popular beverage and to some an important and almost essential part of life. There are wine tasting clubs, connoisseur wine collectors, wine publications and a whole industry centered around the juice of the grape.

Here’s a clever idea. Rolife’s Book Nook & Wonderland Sakura Wine Valley kit is a small self-contained slice of wine country that can be tucked away between books or even wine bottles.

Everything pertaining to wine country is present including little shops, racks, lighting, plants and more.

It’s so inviting. Just imagine strolling down such a street with all the little nooks and crannies filled with objects.

Once assembled the kit looks like a small rectangular box trimmed in brick, symbol scrawled wood, a section of a tiled roof and decorated with small succulent plants.

The entire kit of parts comes in a heavy-gauge cardboard box with a flip-lid with tabs. Inside is a twin compartment plastic insert that holds small decorative parts, building railings, etc. and plants. A small Phillips head screwdriver is also included. Eight flats hold most of the pieces.

The main cardboard box is wrapped in a partial slip sleeve cover. The front of the slip sleeve has a full-color photo of the Sakura Wine Alley along with two small photos, and age (14+), pieces (249), LED and No Glue icons.

On the back of the slip sleeve are a couple more photos, material used (Plywood, MDF, Paper), electrical components notes and other information.

Inside the Book Nook are several shop fronts with cabinets, shelves, wine containers, bottles of wine, a hanging decorated rice paper lantern, several balconies, a cat, various wine accessories, signs, hangers and other interesting partially hidden corners and spots. So much to see! Every time I look at it I spot more things and details.

Look for the cool stools, hidden logos and icons, bric-a-brac, plants and other goodies that fill the Wine Alley. It is amazing!

Papers include an instruction pamphlet (numbers coincide with the enclosed parts), Product Safety Instructions and Icon Illustration.

Colors pop, details are fantastic, parts pop together easily, stickers and paper cut-outs are a breeze to apply or fold and the entire assembly is lit by a real light. How cool is that!?

It’s an easy kit to assemble if you follow the instructions step-by-step. Carefully pop out parts as you need them and snap them together with the small tabs.

How Rolife is able to design, manufacture, package and distribute their kits for such a reasonable cost is beyond me.

Use tweezers, an X-Actor knife and handle, a Flathead screwdriver, a pointed tool, liquid glue, lights and a magnifying lens if needed.

Visit this link to see other photos and a video of the Sakura Wine Cellar Alley.

Sweet Dream Bedroom

There is nothing like laying down on a soft comfortable bed. Sinking into the fluffy mattress and snug in the warm blankets is the best therapy of all. Now that I’m an old man it feels so good to my back and body overall.

A soft pillow, a dark room filled with familiar objects and the comfortable and warm feel of both the bed and room are divine. It doesn’t take long to fall asleep.

My bedroom is my sanctuary. It is the room that I can get away from the grind of the day. I get to lay there safe and warm and think things over. I ponder and let my mind wander as I soak in the ambiance of the room.

My bedroom is more than a place to sleep. It is where I choose my daily wardrobe, sit back on the bed and read, check myself out in the mirror and primp and at the end of the day get to snuggle with my wife.

Rolife’s Sweet Dream Bedroom kit is what dreams are made of.

The Sweet Dream Bedroom comes in a lidded box with photos of the Sweet Dream Bedroom on all sides. The back also has photos, lighting suggestions, display extras, switch box game play, piece count (95), specifications, materials used, age recommendations (8+) and other helpful hints and suggestions.

Inside the box kit components consist of wall, floor and window, frame and base slats, stickers and paper sheets, electrical components and part bags that include room decor, the bed, small furniture, bric-a-brac and various room decorations. A set of tweezers is also provided.

Look over the instructions (part numbers match the components), gather some tools such as strong lighting, a Flathead screwdriver for poking out tabbed parts, a pointed tool, an X-Acto blade and handle, liquid glue and a brush, a magnifying device and any other tools you may need for small precise work.

The Sweet Dream Bedroom walls are stripped in a soft pastel and the wide wooden slat floor is partially covered by an oval rug of yellow and white.

On one wall is a six-pane window with white lace curtains. Rolife cleverly inserted an screen outside the window showing a small neighborhood. Nice touch!

The metal and wood frame single mattress bed looks so comfy with its fluffy mattress, twin pillows in yellow (one stripped, one not), a large yellow and white checked blanket along with a lower solid white blanket. On the wall at the head of the bed are two wood framed pictures of a cactus and a Teddy Bear..

To the right of the bed is small, single drawer nightstand with books on its open lower shelf and a brass lamp with a translucent blue shade sitting on a large book.

Fluffy white slippers are on the floor to the right of the bed.

On the left of the bed parallel to the wall is a large wooden set of drawers with a small metal basket holding bottles and paperwork. Next to it is a small box of white and blue.

Above the dresser on the walls is a framed piece of art. To the left of the chest of drawers is a small table with two drawers and a chair. Below the table is a large pink box. On the table are night creams, a small swivel silver circular mirror, a mat and several books.

The room is open on two sides and features a clear glass roof consisting of six panels held in place by pink wooden beams. A small gold and white light fixture (it lights up!) hangs from the ceiling.

Such a cozy room-I can practically feel the soft mattress and cozy covers!

Kids and parents are sure to have fun assembling this kit. It teaches patience, cooperation, critical thinking and provides a sense of accomplishment. Take your time, never remove parts until you need them, look over the incredible details and appreciate the skill and expertise it took to create such a charming kit.

Cream & Cookii Cookii Bunny's Cookie Shop DIY Miniature House

Cookies-my sweet spot. I love cookies. They are my favorite dessert. They fit in my hand, transport wherever I go and there are so many varieties!

And the smell! I love it when a batch of cookies are baking and it seems like the whole house is filled with their aroma.

Whether at home, at a shop or bakery cookies are one of life’s true treasures. Soft and gooey to crisp and thin-it doesn’t matter, cookies are comfort food. Throw in a glass a milk or a cup of coffee and all of the worries of the world fade away-at least temporally.

It’s amazing how something so simple can make life so enjoyable. Had a bad day? Eat a cookie. Need a quick snack? Grab a cookie. Friends coming over or family dropping by expectantly? Get out your jar of cookies or better yet grab a frozen roll of cookie dough and make a sweet and savory snack.

So cute! Rolife’s Cream & Cookii Cookii Bunny's Cookie Shop is absolutely adorable!

The little stand-alone, street vendor Cream & Cookii Cookii Bunny's Cookie Shop sits on a light brown cobbled sidewalk with deep gray stone trim. A translucent light atop a gray pole and topped by a flared black shade complements the light yellow Cookie Shop.

The shop sits above the sidewalk and is decorated with Cookii Bunny drawings. The back wall has a fluted and wavy top trim with a Cookii Bunny Taste The Cuteness sign trimmed in blue and twin hearts.

In front of the back wall is a large light yellow wooden cupboard with several alcoves holding cookies, packages, bagged goodies and other cookie decor.

The cupboard has six alcoves with top trim and six drawers with inset knobs. Next to it is a slighter darker yellow enclosed cupboard with glass panel holding several bags of cookies. Each box of cookies has fully illustrated packaging and are very colorful. The smaller cupboard also has several drawers.

Standing behind the counter is small Anime/Manga (Chibi?) Cookii Bunny figure with large eyes and slightly feline features, long brown hair held up in twin bows, yellows cloths and an apron. She is absolutely adorable! She even comes in her very own special little box where she is wrapped in a sealed envelope.

The counter in front of the figure has two alcoves, a large Cookii Bunny sign and two drawers. On top of the counter are various cookies, cupcakes, desserts, jars and a large slanted desserts tiered display.

Cookii Bunny and her shop come packaged in a slip-lid box with full-color photos of the kit on the front and sides.

On the back of the box are more photos and recommended age (14 and up), main materials (plywood, paper and plastic), assembly time (four hours) and supervisor notes.

Included in the box is the Cookii figure, five wall, base and cabinet slats, a numbered parts page coinciding with the numbers on the parts, safety instructions, icon illustrations, instructions, sticker sheets, fold-outs and three bags of parts and miniatures.

It’s all so yummy!

Take your time, get your tools in order, check the instructions, assemble the Cream & Cookii Cookii Bunny’s Cookie Shop one piece at a time-savor each moment. It’s like biting into a warm, gooey cookie, rolling the cookie around in your mouth and enjoying every moment as you take in the full taste of the chocolate and other ingredients.

I suggest having tweezers (included), a magnifying glass or stand, a pointed tool, liquid glue, a flat-head screwdriver for poking out parts, an X-Acto blade and handle, a small portable light and a pair of small pliers.

Take your time, carefully review the instructions and check that all the pieces are included.

Just like a cookie the kit is more than the sum of its parts. Enjoy the experience, appreciate all the work it took to make it-it’s all worth it.

Pop Bubble Bathroom Super Creator Miniature House

As a kid growing up in Michigan way, way back in the 1950s and 1960s one of the things that I did was take a bath every other day. I loved taking baths, usually in an old claw-foot bathtub with ornate fixtures in a small bathroom complete with medicine cabinet, toilet, a towel rack and little else.

There was something comforting about it. The warm, sudsy water, the sunlight streaming in from a single window and the warm, moist air, especially in the winter, were heaven. I usually over-indulged with bubble bath soap made for kids.

Stepping out of the tube, drying and then wrapping myself in a warm, fuzzy towel and feeling the sunlight really capped off my day.

As with all Rolife kits the (Pop) Bubble Bathroom Super Creator Miniature House is packed in a flip-lid box with front and side tabs. The box the kit comes in showcases the (Pop) Bubble Bathroom Super Creator Miniature House with a beautiful full-color photo on its front, photos on two sides and specs on the back (for ages eight and above, 103 pieces, light instructions, materials used and assemble recommendations).

Before beginning the assemble of the (Pop) Bubble Bathroom I recommend you gather up some tweezers (for small parts, an X-Acto knife and blade (for possible trimming), a pointed instrument, a magnifying glass, overhead and side lights, liquid glue and a small flat-head screwdriver for popping pieces out of part trees.

Carefully take out all the part trees, etc. Look over each piece making sure nothing is missing (never had that problem with Rolife’s kits) and read over the instructions.

Never remove parts until you need them. There are some small pieces and it’s easy to lose them. Trust me, I know. Parts pop-out of their flats easily. Use the fathead screwdriver, it’s much easier. Parts snap together with no problem. Tabs on the pieces makes for snug fits with no rough edges or mismatched parts. Color application is crisp and bright.

Picture yourself soaking in a small golden-leg, free-standing bathtub. The floor is white with blue geometric accents. The tube sits on a pink and blue oval rug and a small, segment wooden tub table props your book and a small clear cup holds your favorite drink with a green garnish.

A soft yellow towel drapes on one side. On top of it is a squeeze toy yellow ducky.

The tube fixture is gold with two handles and a shower head extension. By the tube on the floor is a soap dispenser bottle.

To one side of the tube is a wicker basket containing a palm plant, a wooden fold-out rack with a yellow laundry basket, pink hair dryer and a eight-pane window with white lace curtains and a small wooden framed piece of art.

The walls of the bathroom are a combination of pink tiles, stripped pink wallpaper, decorative wallpaper with geometric shapes in a darker pink, an ornate gold-framed mirror and a deep pink base board.

Against the wall parallel to the tube is a small four-shelf wooden bookcase. Shelves contain a small box, a water can with a plant, soaps and bathroom supplies and toilet paper. A white toilet with a pink lid sits next to it and a two-drawer, twin door vanity with a marble top and white sink with gold fixtures with cleaning materials sitting next to it.

The room is framed in light pink open roof rafters with a working brass and metal overhead light.

Box contents include, instructions (in color, numbered to match parts, and full diagram and written explanations) four plastic flats, four paper wall flats, sticker circles, stickers for bottlers, boxes, etc., a parts tree, bagged pole, a bag with a light and battery box and a bag with a USB cable, a bathtub bag, a separate bag of bathroom utilities and two accessories and bathroom decor. Check out the scaling and accuracy of each accessory piece along with their color, clean and non-flash edges and sculpt work.

The bathroom and its accessories are easy to assemble, perfectly detailed and painted and with a little time and patience it can all be yours. Follow the instructions step-by-step, carefully piece together the parts by hand or use tools. Hook up the wiring and lighting and before you know it you have a miniature bathroom to decorate your bookshelf, counter top or in your own real bathroom.

The important things to remember are to to take your time, get organized, follow the instructions step-by-step and never take out parts until you need them. There is no hurry. Enjoy the process and relax.
