Secret New York: An Unusual Guide

One of the pitfalls of going on vacation is the tourist traps.  There is nothing worse than being caught on the treadmill of canned tourist attractions and feeling like an unknown face in a crowd.

When I go someplace I want to go where the locals go, eat the food they eat, stay at the places they stay and mingle in with the local population.

Finally my plead is answered!

T.M. Rives has assembled the Secret New York: An Unusual Guide.  Inside the compact travel guide, part of Jonglez Publishing’s ‘Local Guides By Local People’ series of books, secrets are shared with travelers about the ‘real’ Big Apple.

Besides cluing readers in on the places to go that are far away from the mass of tourists, the guide also provides interesting historical insights, tips on where to visit unusual and interesting, and often little known, sites and more.

Filled with full-color photos, maps and interesting facts and tidbits of information, the Secret New York: An Usual Guide is the guide book for the savvy traveler.  After looking through the book and reading its interesting contents I feel like a real New Yorker.  Does that mean I have to get rid of my Southern accent?  Y’all buy the book—youse guys!
