As a kid growing up in Michigan way, way back in the 1950s and 1960s one of the things that I did was take a bath every other day. I loved taking baths, usually in an old claw-foot bathtub with ornate fixtures in a small bathroom complete with medicine cabinet, toilet, a towel rack and little else.
There was something comforting about it. The warm, sudsy water, the sunlight streaming in from a single window and the warm, moist air, especially in the winter, were heaven. I usually over-indulged with bubble bath soap made for kids.
Stepping out of the tube, drying and then wrapping myself in a warm, fuzzy towel and feeling the sunlight really capped off my day.
As with all Rolife kits the (Pop) Bubble Bathroom Super Creator Miniature House is packed in a flip-lid box with front and side tabs. The box the kit comes in showcases the (Pop) Bubble Bathroom Super Creator Miniature House with a beautiful full-color photo on its front, photos on two sides and specs on the back (for ages eight and above, 103 pieces, light instructions, materials used and assemble recommendations).
Before beginning the assemble of the (Pop) Bubble Bathroom I recommend you gather up some tweezers (for small parts, an X-Acto knife and blade (for possible trimming), a pointed instrument, a magnifying glass, overhead and side lights, liquid glue and a small flat-head screwdriver for popping pieces out of part trees.
Carefully take out all the part trees, etc. Look over each piece making sure nothing is missing (never had that problem with Rolife’s kits) and read over the instructions.
Never remove parts until you need them. There are some small pieces and it’s easy to lose them. Trust me, I know. Parts pop-out of their flats easily. Use the fathead screwdriver, it’s much easier. Parts snap together with no problem. Tabs on the pieces makes for snug fits with no rough edges or mismatched parts. Color application is crisp and bright.
Picture yourself soaking in a small golden-leg, free-standing bathtub. The floor is white with blue geometric accents. The tube sits on a pink and blue oval rug and a small, segment wooden tub table props your book and a small clear cup holds your favorite drink with a green garnish.
A soft yellow towel drapes on one side. On top of it is a squeeze toy yellow ducky.
The tube fixture is gold with two handles and a shower head extension. By the tube on the floor is a soap dispenser bottle.
To one side of the tube is a wicker basket containing a palm plant, a wooden fold-out rack with a yellow laundry basket, pink hair dryer and a eight-pane window with white lace curtains and a small wooden framed piece of art.
The walls of the bathroom are a combination of pink tiles, stripped pink wallpaper, decorative wallpaper with geometric shapes in a darker pink, an ornate gold-framed mirror and a deep pink base board.
Against the wall parallel to the tube is a small four-shelf wooden bookcase. Shelves contain a small box, a water can with a plant, soaps and bathroom supplies and toilet paper. A white toilet with a pink lid sits next to it and a two-drawer, twin door vanity with a marble top and white sink with gold fixtures with cleaning materials sitting next to it.
The room is framed in light pink open roof rafters with a working brass and metal overhead light.
Box contents include, instructions (in color, numbered to match parts, and full diagram and written explanations) four plastic flats, four paper wall flats, sticker circles, stickers for bottlers, boxes, etc., a parts tree, bagged pole, a bag with a light and battery box and a bag with a USB cable, a bathtub bag, a separate bag of bathroom utilities and two accessories and bathroom decor. Check out the scaling and accuracy of each accessory piece along with their color, clean and non-flash edges and sculpt work.
The bathroom and its accessories are easy to assemble, perfectly detailed and painted and with a little time and patience it can all be yours. Follow the instructions step-by-step, carefully piece together the parts by hand or use tools. Hook up the wiring and lighting and before you know it you have a miniature bathroom to decorate your bookshelf, counter top or in your own real bathroom.
The important things to remember are to to take your time, get organized, follow the instructions step-by-step and never take out parts until you need them. There is no hurry. Enjoy the process and relax.
