Green Lantern First Flight

What's the hottest title and storyline at DC Comics? Batman? Nope. Superman? Nope. Green Lantern is. Writer Geoff Johns has transformed the Green Lantern from a glorified cosmic sheriff to one of the most interesting and complex characters produced by DC Comics or (dare I say it?) any other comic book company.

Warner Bros. presents its latest DC Universe Animated Original Movie with Green Lantern First Flight. Taking a slight liberty from its comic book origins, the movie introduces Green Lantern to the general public with a killer animated DVD that delves into the origin of the Emerald Warrior, the Guardians, the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro and the entire Green Lantern cast of characters.

Hal Jordan, test pilot, is transported to the crash site of Abin Sur's spaceship, the Green Lantern assigned to Earth's sector of space. Dying from a fatal wound, Abin Sur passes on his Green Lantern ring to Jordan as the newest Green Lantern.

Soon Jordan is joined by other Lanterns who take him to the home planet of the Guardians of the Universe where he meets his trainer, and later arch enemy, Sinestro.

What follows is a fast-paced tour of the universe, a search for a new weapon that threatens the Corps, treachery, betrayal and a climatic battle that will determine the fate of the Universe, the Lanterns and the Guardians.

Featuring spectacular animation, mind-blowing special effects, a first-rate story and well-developed characters, Green Lantern First Flight is a must-have for any comic book fan.
