XCOM And NBA
Aliens have landed on Earth and they are NOT friendly! Their superior weapons and technology allow them to run rampant and kill and destroy at will. Humanity appears to be doomed.
The United Nations activates its XCOM program: and elite, covert military unit that possesses state-of-the-art weapons and equipment like nothing seen before.
XCOM's mission is to battle the aliens one-on-one, capturing some of the enemy in order to learn more of their species and technology, and to use that knowledge to carry the fight to the aliens.
It's human against alien as different counties must learn to put aside their petty differences and unit to fight a common enemy.
Supplies are short, causalities are high but XCOM must fight on if humanity has a prayer of survival.
Covert teams tackle various missions and often leaders are killed and chaos threatens to spread. Rookies soon transform into veterans and old, long held prejudices and hatreds of other cultures and countries sometimes raise their ugly heads and it is only through diplomacy and the urgency of the moment that keeps squads together.
The Unreal 3 game engine delivers the goods with incredible visual effects, zero lag time graphics, breath-taking environments and amazing battles.
Technology constantly evolves which involves building new facilities, deploying new weapons and discovering new astonishing abilities.
XCOM comes courtesy of FIRAXIS and 2K GAMES and is rated M: Mature 17+ This is what a science fiction games is all about-for PS3, PlayStation Network and other game platforms.
From 2K Sports comes what many are describing as 'the best sports video game ever made." After playing the game I'm sure you will agree.
If the realism gets any better with 2K's NBA video games real players have lost their jobs-it's that good!
Players move so realistically and react to play so convincingly that you will be hard pressed to recognize virtual from reality. Honestly, if viewed on a TV it would be difficult to tell if the game was real or not!
Camera angles shift and move as they follow the players. Focus sharpens and blurs as if the cameramen are panning and trying to follow plays. Even the crowds react realistically.
Lighting, sounds, colors, shading, clothing, skin tones, faces-everything looks real!
Play regulation games, bring in some classic teams-shoot, there's even a celebrity team. The soundtrack rocks, the player's abilities progress and the action keeps coming. And just like in real games you'll hear commentaries. This game is so good I'm surprised that vendors don't pop up trying to sell you drinks and snacks.
Look for improved game play courtesy of the game stick, acquire Signature Skills and collect players, uniforms and paraphernalia to take your game play online with the PlayStation Network.
