The story centers around two angels, the Anarchy Sisters,

Stranded on Earth, the sisters and their equally degenerate
partner Garterbelt, roam the city at nights obliterating ghosts.
Dubbed Panty & Stocking the two ex-angels and Garterbelt
drench the streets with blood and other ‘ahem’ bodily fluids. If the Panty & Stocking can collect
enough Heaven coins for their extoplasmic exterminations they will get their
halos back.
