Bret Maverick (as portrayed by James Garner) and his brother Bart, travel the Old West in search of fortune. Forget the fame, they prefer to remain anonymous and safely away from gunfire (especially Bret who is a bonafide coward when it comes to guns-especially when one is aimed at him.)
