Junkers Ju88T-1 and Air Force One

Two new ‘Limited Edition’ aircraft of decidedly different genres have been recently released by Hasegawa Hobby Kits.  They include the 1:72 Scale Junkers JU88T-1 Fernaufklarungsgruppe 123 and the Egg Plane Air Force One VC-25.

The Junkers JU88T-1 Fernaufklarungsgruppe 123 was a WWII German photo reconnaissance aircraft equipped with special engines for a quick getaway.  Capable of carrying a three man crew the aircraft was a favorite of the Luftwaffe as its long-range capabilities made it a valuable spying aircraft for the German military.

Eleven part trees comprise the model consisting of 155 pieces.  Special features include new nose canopy parts, under panel parts and drop tank parts.  The model may be displayed with wheels up or down and with its military green two-tone paint scheme and plethora of decals and fuselage details (including wing tip antenna, clear paneled canopy, full interior instrumentation, twin props and front viewing canopy) the model makes a fine addition to any military model maker’s collections.

Clear, consist instructions make assembling, painting and decaling this impressive model a breeze.

The VC-25 “Air Force One” model, part of Hasegawa’s Eggplane Series, derives its inspiration from an illustration by Takashi Fujisawa.

Plump and squat, the aircraft is a comical interpretation of the famous Air Force One.  Easy to assemble, the model faithfully recreates the famous aircraft, but in a stylized form.

But don’t let its condensed and plump appearance fool you.  It is all Hasegawa Hobby Kit from tip to tail.  It’s expertly crafted, easy to assemble, packed with details and sporting the signature paint scheme of the original.  You don’t need to have an ‘egg’ecutive order to build it or even be an ‘egg’pert model maker.  Follow the instructions and before you know it you’ll have an ‘egg’cellent model to show off.
