It’s hard to believe that Nissan has been producing cars and
trucks since 1934. Off course with advent
of WWII Japanese products were not exactly popular in the United States.
It wasn’t until 1958 that Nissan began selling its trucks
(under the Datsun banner) in the U.S.
In the age of big cars and trucks in the U.S. Datsun trucks
didn’t exactly set the automotive industry on fire. But as government restrictions on pollution and
gas mileage and the rising cost of gasoline took hold suddenly Datsun trucks
and cars seemed like an economical alternative.
While Datsun trucks (initially) weren’t large, they were
workhorses, fuel efficient and (let’s face it) fun to drive!
Revell Models is proud to present its 1/24 Scale replica of
the Datsun truck that took a whole generation by storm.
The burgundy red, 4X4, Datsun Off-Road Pickup is all
business and fun wrapped up in a 103 HP, NPS-7 2.4 liter engine, 4-cylinder,
ready to rumble truck with a huge chrome front bumper, a full light package, roll
bar, oversize side mirrors, roof lights, three strip side decals and window
decal, jacked-up chassis with chrome wheels and oversize tires, black trim
wheel wells, shortened bed and it even has a hood that opens so you can admire
its engine and all the details.
Accurate to scale, both inside and outside, the Datsun Off-Road
Pickup model is part of Revell’s Truck line and is rated at a Level 2 skill.
Follow the instructions and before you know it you’ve
