If
you’re a collector like myself and are cash conscious then please read what I have
to say.
I collect
pop culture items: toys, comic books, magazines, diecast, books, etc.
One
of my biggest concerns is how do I store all of this stuff?
Specialty
containers made specifically for above mentioned items can get also most expensive
as the items themselves.
I
don’t know about you but I have a limited budget and what money I do have I
prefer spending it on collectibles rather than storage containers.
What
if I told you that there are alternatives?
Oh sure, you could go to the local office supply or moving store and
purchase boxes but even then you’ll pay a premium.
How
unnecessary! Anyone with half a brain
knows that if you buy more of a product the unit cost goes down. And what if the single unit cost is not that
expensive in the first place?
Is
it really necessary to store most collectibles in acid-free, specially constructed
boxes? Of course not!
There
are items that are exceptions but the bulk of most collectors’ collections are
just ‘stuff’. Why spend a fortune on
storage containers?
Recently
I contacted Uline: The Shipping Supply Specialists,
and inquired about some of their boxes and containers (of all types).
They
were kind enough to send me one of their catalogs and after looking through its
pages I spotted some corrugated cardboard boxes that looked perfect for my
needs.
I
selected four boxes sizes (26X10X10, 30X10X10, 36X14X6 and 36X12X6), and this
is what I discovered.
The
boxes are heavy duty, have easy to fold flaps, are tough and resilient enough to
stack and with the aid of a little box tape I had the perfect containers for
storing toys, magazines, comic books and other pop culture collectibles.
If
you’re a collector and want to spend your money wisely and are looking for
good, solid boxes then I highly recommend you contact Uline and check out their
products.
There’s
so much stuff (cool stuff) in their catalog that you’re sure to find the products
best suited for your collector needs.
