As a former high school teacher coming from a professional business background the key skill I taught my students was Critical Thinking Skills.
Head knowledge is fine, physical capabilities are essential and social interaction is key-but-without critical thinking skills a person will face difficulties in all these areas and many more.
Critical thinking skills allows a person to interact, evaluate, organize, communicate, determine fact from fiction, draw correct conclusions and function socially, professionally and intimately with others.
Wiley Brand and author Martin Cohen invite readers to explore the amazing world of Critical Thinking in Critical Thinking Skills For Dummies 2nd Edition.
I for one could use a refresher course. One’s never to old to learn new skills-it’s one of the keys to critical thinking.
Follow along as the book explores and explains how to get started, how people think and develop their skills, solve puzzles, gather information, listen, write, argue (properly), use logic, persuade others, present evidence, justify their opinion and avoid pitfalls.
It’s all in this extremely informative book written in a clear concise manner, laid out logically and presented in a manner anyone can understand.
Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
