Cause Of Death: Rock and Roll

Join Duke DeLuxe, his manager and his eccentric band of misfits as they travel the roads of American in search for Rock and Roll, drugs, sex and murder.

Author Peter Miller (Big Boy Pete) and Stark House Press present the sequel (of sorts) to The Ice Cream Man where readers first met Duke DeLuxe and his entourage with Cause Of Death: Rock and Roll.

Have you ever read a novel that catches you completely by surprise? I went into Cause Of Death: Rock and Roll with a little bit of an attitude. I was expecting a novel about murder intermingled with the world of Rock and Roll. It is that and so much more.

The main character Duke DeLuxe is quite unlike any other ‘hero’ I have read about. The man is definitely strange, a little creepy and a totally original literary character.

The book has so many twists and turns, unexpected events, location changes, unusual encounters and so much more that it boggles the mind.

The novel contains elements of spy thriller, crime, mystery, intrigue, romance and edgy semi-horror all in one package. It’s hard to wrap your brain around.

It’s an unsettling, intriguing, sense-jarring and thought-provoking work that delivers on so many fronts.

I was barely into the book and already was hooked by Duke’s bizarre behavior, strange and disturbing past, weird encounters and tight-rope walk between saint and sinner.

It’s Rock and Roll all right. It’s a rock clobbering your senses and a roll down a slippery sloop rattling your brain and causing you to question societal conventions and encountering a strikingly different outlook on life.

The author has the knack for describing things so vividly that you can almost feel, taste, smell, hear and experience every location and event.

Duke delivers!

John 11:26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
