Finally Hollywood and the film industry did something right!
Several years ago when Warner Bros. released the Justice League movie fans were lukewarm to its release.
It seems Hollywood politics and business interfered with director Zack Snyder’s original vision of the Justice League.
Snyder left the movie under questionable circumstances-supposedly a personal family matter. Moviegoers suspected it had something to do with a studio conflict.
Regardless, the movie was released under the direction of Joss Whedon. Unfortunately Whedon’s vision for the movie was to emulate Marvel Comics movies.
The result was a hodgepodge of edited scenes, re-designed characters, and an odd mixture of dark and light scenes culminating in an unresolved ending.
Several years later it was decided (kudos to Warner Bros.) to let Zack Snyder’s original cut of the film (with additional scenes) be released through streaming.
The result was impressive! Fans absolutely loved the film. With its ‘R’ rating and over three hour running time the movie was more of an event.
The resulting popularity of the film helped Warner Bros. decide to do a follow up film and to pursue its own unique take on DC superheroes set in place by Snyder.
Like the first version of the film Darkseid is the main villain-only in this version of the film he has a greater role, his mission is clearly stated and the Justice League are at their mightiest.
The film successfully introduces each member of the team along with their origins. As the film progresses the various characters pull together to form the Justice League.
Dark, intense, suspenseful, exciting and beautifully filmed and directed the new Zack Snyder’s Justice League film comes on Blu-ray with a very special featurette.
