Do you hear it? The steady clip clop of hooves on the pavement and soft shuffle on the snow?
When Santa’s in a hurry and needs to get some presents out ASP he calls up his very special Reindeer Express.
Pulled by a single reindeer the large, four wooden wheel wagon is decked out in gold and red with a fancy seat and a oversize upper rack packed with toys, goodies, decorations and a Christmas tree.
Moving along a snow-covered, cobblestone road the Reindeer Express from Rolife rushes by an ornate streetlight as Santa who is seated pulls the reins and the twin window Reindeer Express rings its bells and shows off its Christmas themed windows.
A large wooden crate sits beside the Reindeer Express. It is filled with Christmas goodies and sitting in front of it are Santa’s boots. Sitting along side it an ornate wrought iron fence in front of the street light shows that all is right in the world as Christ’s birthday is celebrated.
Roll the Reindeer Express along the street and be sure to take a look a very special fold-out surprise.
The Reindeer Express is a slightly smaller kit in Rolife’s Christmas kits. As with all of Rolife’s Christmas kits this one comes in a special open lid box with photos on all sides and specs on the back. The kit is recommended for those 14 years old and older, consists of 209 pieces and butts up against Rolife’s Polaris Post to make a larger Christmas scene.
Since it was smaller kit it didn’t take that long to assemble-around two hours.
I started out assembling the reindeer and wouldn’t you know it I broke on antler (it is a very delicate piece). But, a touch of liquid glue and it was right as rain. Fumble fingers strikes again.
As always I keep my trusty tool selection on hand. Here’s a photo. Tweezers and a Phillips-head screwdriver are included-batteries are not.
As I mentioned before my eyesight is not what it used to be so the magnifying glass is a Godsend. Tweezers help me with picking up the small parts and folding paper pieces.
Although this particular kit is smaller than most it doesn’t lack for detail. It is amazing how much is going on in this kit from the reindeer to the fully-loaded wagon.
How Rolife/Robotime designers can pack in so much detail, manufacture parts that fit together snugly and lay out wiring and lights is impressive to me.
Try to imagine the amount of work that goes into each of Rolife’s kits: the laser cutting, wiring schematics, print production, packaging-it is truly impressive.
