I love horses. Majestic, pictures of strength and noble-horses have been a constant companion to man almost from the beginning of civilization.

They can also be stubborn, independent and downright ornery. I know, I once took an equestrian class in college. My horse had a mind of its own.

Horse Academy, the one player puzzle game, from Smart Games, invites players along for one wild horse ride for ages seven years old and up.

With its 80 challenges Horse Academy is guaranteed to put your spacial insight, planning, problem solving, concentration and visual perception skills and abilities to the test.

Included in the game are a game board, an exit gate, 10 puzzles pieces with obstacles and paths, a horse with a rider and a booklet containing 80 challenges.

The single player game is a real challenge.

Place your horse at the starting point and the gate at the finish as indicated by the letters on the border of the game.

Create a path from start to finish using the removable sections with obstacles.

Here’s where it gets tough. The player must jump over the obstacles in the same order as shown in the selected challenges-sometimes jumping over an obstacle more than once.

There is only one solution per challenge.

Do you have enough ‘horse sense’ to complete each challenge? Saddle up, grab the reins and get ready to hit the trail as you jump obstacles, follow the path and gallop to the finish!
