Model Rocketry

3..2..1..Blast-off!

Most of us will never get the opportunity to blast out into outer space aboard a rocket-powered spaceship. The stars will ever be beyond our reach.

But, that doesn’t mean we can’t experience the excitement of launching our own rockets.

In author Alexander Procyk's and publisher Schiffer Publishing’s new book: Model Rocketry America’s Hobby In The Cold War 1960-1980, readers can feel the excitement and awe of launching their very own rockets!

The colorful hardbound book examines the rockery phenomenon prevalent in that era.

Color and black and white photos, along with some art, delve into the various companies that manufactured a wide-ranging and often inventive plethora of rockets.

Look for rockets fashioned after actual NASA rockets, Star Wars, Star Trek, various movies and TV shows spacecraft and much more.

Full specs and information about each rocket is provided along with a brief history of rocketry and the companies who produced the rockets.
