The look and feel of the knife is perfect. It fits into my hand comfortably and with its grip handle and its secure open blade held stationary by a heavy duty lock bar mechanism I know I can handle the knife with no worry of blade fold-back or slippage from my hand.

I have large hands and the knife is the perfect fit.  The textured grip handle holds the knife firmly in my hand.  The cutting edge is razor sharp.  It's practical, portable and has dozens of uses, especially when camping and outdoors.

Even better it's made in the United States. The knife's silver titanium blade is secured and mated to its black TiCN PVD coated, titanium alloy frame American black G10 scale.

It’s a expertly-crafted, comfortable to handle folding knife, sturdy, nicely detailed and easy to carry in your pocket or clipped to your belt or trousers.
 
The blade snaps out and with a simple push of its retaining bar the blade slides securely in its handle cradle.

I absolutely love the design. As a graphic designer I appreciate  the thought and craftsmanship that went into the making of this knife.

I was immediately impressed by the box in came in.

A brown cardboard, flip-lid box with the DPx Gear logo text and skull printed in black and repeated over the box is complemented by a black slip sheath over the box decorated with DPx Gear’s skull logo in silver.

Inside the knife is held in place by a form-fitted foam sheath that protects the knife. It's expertly designed and implemented.

Weighing in at 4.9 ounces the folding knife is 7.63 inches in length and 4.38 inches when folded. The blade is 3.10 inches. Rockwell hardness is at 60, its made of Niolox steel, the blade is uncoated, its 0.19 inches thick and the handle material consists of Black G10/6A14v Titanium frame lock.

I know a well-made, durable and rugged folding knife when I see one. I tested it on a piece of paper and it cut through it smoothly like it was butter!

I showed the DPx HEST/F 3.0 Milspec knife to several of my friends, some of whom are ex-military, and they all agreed that the knife ranks high for quality, craftsmanship, function, durability and handling.  All liked the 'feel' of the knife, its weight and grip.
