ERMA: Maschinenfabrik 1924-2003, Vol. 1: Company History, Rifles And Shotguns

Author Holger Schlemeier and Schiffer Publishing really outdid themselves when they released their deluxe hardbound, oversize book ERMA: Maschinenfabrik 1924-2003, Vol. 1 Company History, Rifles AndShotguns.

Talk about packed with information! Besides the detailed text about the history of the company and its rifles and shotguns the book contains loads of photos (black and white and full-color) along with specifications, cutaways, accessories, advertisements, detailed drawings, breakaways, ephemera, and more.

It’s all there in this impressive and exhaustive study of the German weapons company ERMA and its huge selection of rifles and shotguns.

After looking though this book I understand why the German’s are so well renowned for their craftsmanship, engineering skill and technical expertise. It shows in their weapons by the careful attention to detail, functionality, engineering and design.

Beautiful photographs of weapons against white backgrounds really make the images pop and the vintage photos, ephemera, advertisements and technical documents make for a fascinating read.
