Earth 2 #1

Imagine a different Earth with a slightly different Justice League.  In an all-out final battle the Justice League fights Parademons-and loses!

Earth 2 has been invaded by Darkseid’s Parademons.

Death and destruction are everywhere and only a small fraction of Earth 2’s superheroes survive spearheaded by Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.

In a last desperate attempt to stop the invasion Batman has devised a computer virus that will disrupt the Boom Tube’s and the beacons that control the Parademons.

There's only one catch, when Batman plants the virus the beacons will self-destruct, taking him with them.

Superman and Wonder Woman and a troop of soldiers cause a distraction as Batman enters one of the beacons.

His daughter (Robin) pilots him there.  Supergirl assists Superman and the troops.

When the beacon is destroyed Batman is killed and Robin and Supergirl are drawn into the resulting collapsing Boom Tube, leaving heir devastated world behind.

When they emerge they find themselves on Earth Prime.  They pool their resources to return to their own Earth and don the identifies of The Huntress and Powergirl.  

So begins a brand new epic adventure with Earth 2 #1 in The New 52 Universe.  Many of the changes instituted in The New 52 still resonate in the revamped DC Universe today despite several reboots.
