Star Trek-serious science fiction. Oh sure, humor is injected every once in while to mix things up in the TV series and movies. But, by and large Star Trek tackles sensitive, social and relevant situations and scenarios.
Lighten up! It’s been over 50 years since the first Star Trek animated series aired on TV.
CBS/Paramount's Star Trek: Lower Decks Season One introduces a whole new cast of animated characters to the small screen.
Instead of focusing on the bridge and command crews Lower Decks follows the lives of both human and alien crewmembers who work in the less glamorous departments in the Starship U.S. Cerritos.
Ok, there is some drama, adventure and danger, but there is also a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor, hilarious slapstick and some genuinely touching moments.
It’s Star Trek like you’ve never see it before. Starfleet may never be the same after the crewmembers of the Lower Decks get through with it.
