I remember going to my brother’s in-laws house where they had a huge Christmas tree decked out in bubbling icicle lights, tinsel and a huge variety of Christmas ornaments all covered by white angel hair fake snow.
At our house we always decorated a blue spruce tree with its tiny acorns where my mom would hide small gifts in its branches for the grandkids to find.
The entire town was decorated with plastic Santa Clauses, reindeer and nativity scenes, lights of all colors that twinkled and other over-the-top Christmas decorations. It was a good time to be a kid.
